Turtlepalooza is an annual event to celebrate sea turtle and ocean conservation at Crandon Park, one of Miami-Dade County’s beautiful heritage parks. This year’s event will take place on Sunday, March 15th, 2026 and will kick-off with a beach cleanup at Crandon Park North Beach from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. At the nature center, we will host our conservation village, featuring local environmental awareness organizations and activities, from 10:00 A.M. through 3:00 P.M. In addition, there will be arts and crafts, animal encounters, guided eco-tours and a speaker series taking place throughout the day. Parking is free for all registered volunteers.
This volunteer opportunity is made possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Sea Turtle Conservation Program (STCP) and Miami EcoAdventures. The STCP works to protect our sea turtle nests on 19 miles of Miami beaches during nesting season (March-October). STCP and Miami EcoAdventures, as part of the Miami-Dade County Parks system, is committed to protecting our coastal and ocean ecosystems year-round, and educating the public on best conservation practices. Join our ocean conservation teams to clean up the shoreline at Crandon Park and to learn more about the endangered sea turtle species and other marine life that call Miami-Dade County home.
