These materials are provided to: Increase transparency, Support informed public discussion and Preserve institutional memory. Documents vary in date, purpose, and level of detail. Inclusion does not imply endorsement.
Proposed Projects
Announcement and coverage detailing termination of Seaquarium lease and new agreement to lease the 38-acre site to Terra Group for redevelopment without marine mammals.
The Shoreline Feasibility and Refinement Assessment is a multi-phase study intended to evaluate the feasibility of a proposed shoreline concept along the Rickenbacker Causeway corridor.
Project Development & Environment (PD&E) study evaluating rehabilitation or replacement of Bear Cut Bridge, including alternatives, structure types, and enhanced bicycle/pedestrian facilities.
Village-wide vision plan covering place and design, mobility, resilience, open spaces, and character, adopted in 2023.
Design Competitions
Senior students from DASH and MAST in the 16th annual Architecture and Industrial Design Competition, presenting proposals for a greener, more connected waterfront to a jury of Miami design and sustainability professionals.
Student-led proposals to reimagine the Virginia Key Seaquarium site as a sustainable, community-focused Marina Park. A collaboration between DASH, MAST Academy, and the Key Biscayne Community Foundation.
